Songfacts®:

  • This is the first single released by Bradford-born singer Melissa Steel after signing to Atlantic Records. She was also the guest vocalist on "Way We Are," a song by the British House and Drum and Bass record producer Kove, which peaked at #30 on the UK Singles Chart just prior to this song's release.
  • The song features the Jamaican Dancehall artist Popcaan. His debut album, Where We Come From, was named in the summer of 2014 by Complex Magazine as one of the American publication's Top 10 Best Albums for the year to date.

Steel explained the collaboration to MTV UK: "When I heard the song Popcaan was already on the demo, so we didn't actually meet up to record our parts together, but I was already a fan of him," she said. "That was more of a reason for me to want to be involved. He's such a cool guy, he just brought a real nice edge to the song."
  • This was co-produced by British producer Wundah and Richie Flores, who is also manager of UK-based deejay Stylo G.
  • The music video was shot on Hellshire Beach in Portmore, St. Catherine, Jamaica. "The song has a summer, island feel to it, which is pretty much why we envisioned Jamaica as the perfect place to shoot the video," Steel said.
