Songfacts®:

  • Mike Shinoda's Post Traumatic EP was released about six months after Chester Bennington's death and contains three songs composed by the Linkin Park rapper as a way of coping with the loss of his friend and to express everything he'd been going through over this period.

On "Over Again," Mike Shinoda sings about the tribute concert the band played in honor of Bennington back at the Hollywood Bowl in October 2017. He explained: "On this project, I'm trying to work in the moment. I record a phone call or shoot a video while I'm feeling something. For example, I wrote and recorded verse one of Over Again on the day of The Bowl show, and did verse two the day after."
