Songfacts®:

  • Best known for appearances in such movies as The Fifth Element and Resident Evil, Ukrainian-born actress and, model Milla Jovovich released a Kate Bush influenced album, The Divine Comedy, in 1994. Most critics gave it favorable reviews and Slant magazine later included the record in their list of 50 Essential Pop albums.

Those who liked the record had to wait 18 years to hear more music from Jovovich. A single, "Electric Sky" was eventually released on May 18, 2012.
  • The song was co-written by Chris Brinner, who is producer of Irish band The Divine Comedy, and Jamiroquai's former bassist, Stuart Zender. The Divine Comedy album was named after the medieval work of Dante Alighieri, not the Irish band whom Brinner is linked with.
