Songfacts®:

  • This song was released as the first single from Rivers In the Wasteland and debuted by the band on Conan during the show's February 20, 2014 episode.
  • Lead vocalist Bear Rinehart explained the song's meaning to Billboard magazine: "It's about the things we care about, the things that mean something to us," he said. "We definitely started this band because we loved music. We had no idea how to make music into a business. We had no idea how to get from playing the places we were playing or to sign a record deal."

"This record was really about trying to get back to that and appreciating each other for what we bring to the table and really not worrying about the outcome," Rinehart added. "Somehow over time you get more concerned about the outcome than you do with the enjoyment of making it and that's really horrible for artists to ever be in that place."
