Songfacts®:

  • The guys sing here about a girl who finished a relationship as it became too complex for her:

I know you said, that you don't like it complicated
That you are tired of all the changes
Well love is always, always changing, oh

Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne wrote the song with regular 1D collaborators Jamie Scott, Julian Bunetta and John Ryan. The same quintet also penned together the Four tracks "Ready To Run," "Fireproof" and "Spaces."
  • Speaking to Billboard in a 2020 interview, Louis Tomlinson said that two or three times a year he likes to reminisce by listening back to One Direction songs. This track is a particular favorite. "We opened the tour with it and - I've got goosebumps now - every time I hear that song, it takes me back to that stadium tour," he said.
