PTX's vocal percussionist, Kevin Olusola, is a big gangsta rap fan and brought some hip hop-inspired ideas to bandmate Scott Hoying (baritone), and the pair wrote "First Things First." Olusola said: "It's really fun, it's chancy, it kind of just bumps in the car."
Hoying added: "It's about staying humble."
"It's funny, for the past year, Kevin's always singing this: 'International love,'" Hoying explained in the album's track-by-track commentary. "He's like always singing it and we knew that hook 'cos he sang it so much and then we were like: 'Alright, let's put it in this song. We're going to bring it to life.'"
The song "Sadeness" by Enigma (the one with the chanting monks), got its name from the French novelist Marquis de Sade, who believed sex had to be painful in order to be pleasurable - thus the word "sadism."
"Thinking About You" was the ninth track from Calvin Harris' 18 Months album to enter the UK singles Top 10. No other artist has obtained so many hits from one LP - Michael Jackson was the previous record holder with seven Top 10 tunes from both his Bad and Dangerous sets.
