Songfacts®:

  • The success of this song took Pierce Fulton by surprise. "I wrote it pretty quickly and didn't approach it with any lofty expectations or ambitions," he told Billboard magazine. "There was no overthinking involved, it felt very natural."

"At first I was resistant to the idea of adding a vocal - so much of the time it can sound really forced when a dance track has a vocal added - but I took my time and crafted something I felt was really true to the spirit of the original," he continued. "I'm pretty overwhelmed by the reactions already."
  • The song was used by Smirnoff to soundtrack a TV advertising campaign.
  • Pierce Fulton passed away on the evening of April 29, 2021 at age 28, following struggles with his mental health.
