Polly wrote this song about boyfriend problems and the highs and lows of teenage life at the age of 17. She told The Sun March 6, 2009: "It just came out. All my songs come quite quickly without thinking."
During a session on Rob Da Bank's BBC Radio 1 show, Polly revealed that this was written on a toy keyboard.
It has long been speculated that the Soundgarden song "Black Hole Sun" came from the name of a sculpture in Seattle, but according to their frontman Chris Cornell the title came from a phrase he misheard on the news. The band's name did come from a sculpture.
