Songfacts®:

  • This Mike WiLL Made-It and 30 Roc-produced track features a verse by Travis Scott. Swae Lee told Beats 1's Zane Lowe that Mike WiLL shared the beat with both Scott and himself on separate occasions, and the two artists later discovered that they had both recorded over it. "We ended up playing his and playing mine, and they ended up sound like they work together," he said.
  • "Close" isn't the first collaboration between Travis and the Rae Sremmurd rappers. Scott previously linked up with Swae Lee on "Nightcrawler" a track from his 2015 album, Rodeo. He later appeared on the official remix of the duo's 2017 hit "Swang."
