  • The track samples Three 6 Mafia's classic "Side To Side" and features Juicy J. The Mafia group member previously worked with the Rae Sremmurd duo on "Shake It Fast" and "Already."
  • Swae Lee told Billboard the song started with "Side By Side."

    "It's a banger," he said of the Three 6 Mafia tune. "I remember the song used to make me get up in the morning and just lay in the living room and just watch the whole thing…feeling like I was about to bust out my shirt. I started just rapping on it, singing on it... I showed it to Slim Jxmmi, he did the verse real quick."
  • Swae Lee explained the song title to Genius:

    "We movin' fast, you know what I'm sayin'? We powergliding through everything. Powergliding through money, blowin' a lot of money, just movin' fast through life. Movin' fast with everything in the cars. We finally startin' to learn about what we previously had just started learning about: exotic cars, really exotic cars and just getting behind the wheel of them trucks. And just really got into them trucks and we loved the powerglide feature on some of the cars.

    It's just a dope-ass word. Powerglide. Like, it seems like you f---ing floatin' or flyin' or something. Had to throw that in there."
  • Swae Lee croons on the chorus:

    He explained: "I got the American Lambo. I wanted to put a wrap on it and just make it slime green, jsomething that will stand out in traffic. 'Cause I got a yellow G wagon, too. That stand out in traffic. But then the Lambo, it don't really stand out. So we gotta put some slime green on that motha."
