• "Go Again" is a slow-burning country duet about the awkward, hopeful morning after a one-night stand, when two people must decide whether to call it a goodbye or give the relationship another day. Riley Green and fellow Alabama native Hannah McFarland trade verses as two touring musicians whose lives are pulling them in different directions, yet neither seems particularly eager to pack their bags just yet.
• The story begins in the unforgiving daylight. Green is nursing a red wine headache; McFarland never slept, and both know they're supposed to be leaving town. Instead, the chorus offers a choice: they can "leave me a memory" and walk away, or close the blinds, forget their schedules for a while, and "go again."
• Green wrote the song alone as a fictional story inspired by life on the road, imagining two performers whose touring schedules briefly overlap.
• Dann Huff produced the song, continuing his role as Riley's primary studio collaborator since his Don't Mind If I Do album. Acoustic guitar, a restrained rhythm section, and subtle touches of steel guitar and keyboards allow the conversational vocals to remain at the heart of the song
• Green first teased "Go Again" on social media in September 2024 and performed it live before its official release. It arrived on July 3, 2026, as one of the advance tracks from That's Just Me. While the earlier single "My Way" explores heartbreak and nostalgia, and "Think As You Drunk" leans into Green's playful barroom storytelling, "Go Again" is a restrained, conversational duet about a relationship caught in the grey area between a fling and something more.
