Songfacts®:

  • Queens, New York native Roger Sanchez has been at the forefront of the dance music scene since the mid 1990s. He has scored many hits in the European and World Charts and has regularly featured in DJ Magazine's annual Top 100 DJ Poll. This collaboration with Asian American hip-hop group Far*East Movement was released on March 20, 2011.
  • Sanchez explained to Digital Spy why he decided to collaborate with Far*East Movement: "I released the original track last year as a song for the clubs but then I wanted to try something a bit broader with it. A friend of mine at a label sent me a list of acts they thought I should work with, one of which was Far*East Movement. It was before their 'Like a G6' song, but I loved their flow, so I sent them an updated version of the song and they sent back their vocals over it! They nailed it - they're fantastic guys."
  • The song samples The B-52s "Love Shack." Sanchez explained why to Digital Spy: "The funny thing is the sample didn't feature on the original version of the track. I was messing around in the studio and I rediscovered 'Love Shack' and thought, 'This will either sound horrendous or amazing.' I only used the last part of the hook and I think it really works - when people first heard it they knew the sample but couldn't place it! I like that it's familiar but not too in your face."
  • The song's music video features some frames of Sanchez working on a song with Danny Jones from McFly and Sarah Harding from Girls Aloud. He explained to Digital Spy: "We were having so much fun that someone filmed it and decided to put the footage in this video."
