Songfacts®:

  • Not to be confused with the slightly earlier Mott The Hoople Track of the same name and most definitely not to be confused with the much later Katy Perry release, "One Of The Boys" is clearly autobiographical and is arguably the band's most thematic song along with "Rock 'N' Roll Outlaw," perhaps even more so.

Like "Rock 'N' Roll Outlaw," it is a group composition from their 1978 debut album. The original version is Track 6 and runs to a mere 3 minutes 12 seconds, but live it tends to run somewhat longer with some trademark slide guitar.
  • Rose Tattoo is an Australian band that was extant into the 2020s, held together by lead singer Angry Anderson. This track, along with the rest of their debut album, was produced by Harry Vanda and George Young, who were members of the Easybeats. George Young's brothers, Malcolm and Angus, formed AC/DC. >>>
