Songfacts®:

  • This track was inspired by HBO's Vinyl and in particular by the show's main character, flash record label executive Richie Finestra (Bobby Cannavale).

Bassist/singer Mike Kerr told Noisey how the duo penned the song after seeing the trailer for Series 1 of the 1970s music industry drama series: "Hearing Richie Finestra talk about the first time you heard a song that made your hairs on the back of your neck stand up or made you wanna dance or kick someone's arse," he said. "I just wanted to write a song that gave me that sort of buzz."
  • The song also features on the soundtrack for the Mick Jagger and Martin Scorsese-produced HBO series.
