Songfacts®:

  • This was originally an instrumental that was penned by former Swedish House Mafia member Sebastian Ingrosso and Australian DJ Tommy Trash. "I hit him up online and was like, 'I love your stuff,'" Ingrosso told Billboard magazine of how he and Trash linked up. "We were sending ideas back and forth and then we met in LA and finished the song together." It was released by Ingrosso's label Refune Records on September 29, 2012.

Six months later, Ingrosso recruited his fellow Swede John Martin for a vocal version. Martin was the vocalist on the final and most successful Swedish House Mafia single "Don't You Worry Child" as well as another of their hit tunes, "Save The World." The vocal mix was premiered on April 5 2013 as the week's Essential New Tune on Pete Tong's BBC Radio 1 Essential Selection, and officially released on May 10th.
  • The song's music video was directed by the Canadian filmmaker Jonathan Desbiens (aka Jodeb), who also helmed the clip for Zedd's "Clarity." "I wanted to do something really cool," Ingrosso said of the visual. "I wanted a love story, but it needs to be a little bit twisted. The song is a big feeling and [Martin's] really intense. I'm so happy with the result."
