Songfacts®:

  • Better Nature is the fourth studio album by Los Angeles alternative rock band Silversun Pickups. It finds the Los Angeles band once again partnering with producer Jacknife Lee (U2, Snow Patrol) who helped with their 2012 release Neck of the Woods.

Bassist Nikki Monninger learned a new skill in order to record this song. "We were working that one and that same day, Jacknife bought a vibraphone," vocalist Brian Aubert said. "We said, Nikki, why don't you learn to play it? We've never done that before. So Nikki goes off for an hour or two and next thing you know, she's playing the vibraphone. Those are the moments that were never available to us before because of our own closed-in mindset, we would never have taken those opportunities before."
