Songfacts®:

  • This song features ethereal vocals from the English singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding. The pair began dating after the collaboration, before splitting in late October 2012 because of an inability to make their long distance relationship work.
  • The video was created by Australian design collective Pilerats. They first got to know Skrillex when he was a little-known EDM musician touring their native country. "Two years ago one of our promoter friends asked us if we wanted to put on a party with this unknown dude called Skrillex," Pilerats said on their website. "The show was awesome. Oliver Sykes from Bring Me The Horizon happened to be playing a show down the road and hopped on stage to scream over a Skrillex remix of one of their songs - the only time this has ever happened. The 400-person crowd (was) going mental."
After viewing a video the collective produced for another artist, Skrillex commissioned them to make one for him. "Once we got the all clear, we set off and this is what we and seven months of work came out with", they said.
