Songfacts®:

  • Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas supplies the vocals on this track. Slash commented in press materials: "I think people are gonna trip when they hear do the stuff that Fergie is capable of doing. I really wanted to do something with her so people could hear what her rock chops are like."
  • Slash explained to Musicradar.com why he hooked up with the Black Eyed Pea: "I got hip to Fergie being probably as good or better a rock singer than she is a pop singer. I heard her do Barracuda, the old Heart song, and I was like, f---in' wow! I ended up doing a couple of shows with her where she sang Barracuda and Sweet Child o' Mine. She's one of the most phenomenal rock 'n' roll singers, male or female, I've ever heard."
  • Slash admitted to Rock Radio DJ Paul Anthony that people thought he'd "gone pop" when it was revealed Fergie would appear on this track, but she proved her rock credentials to him. He said: "I'm a rock guy. I wouldn't have made any crazy concessions. People were going, 'Fergie sounds like a crazy departure,' and everyone assumed I'd gone pop. But she's got a mother of a rock voice. I heard her sing live a couple of years ago and I kept in touch because I knew I'd work with her eventually. She's great. She manages to be in Elle magazine but she can tie one on as well."
  • Slash told The Sun April 23, 2010: "The track began as a piece of music I'd written as a score for a strip bar scene and it made me think of her (Fergie). I'm a guy and there's nothing sexier than seeing a cute girl sing rock 'n' roll."
  • The song's music video features Fergie, who came up with the concept playing a sexy stalker who ties Slash to a bed. "She went to a dark place," the former Guns N' Roses guitarist told Us Magazine about his collaborator. "She nailed it."
