This is a single from the Chicago heavy rockers Soil's sixth studio album, Whole. "It was funny how the song came about," said singer Ryan McCombs. "Adam [Zadel] was doodling on his guitar making this super annoying sound when he caught me staring at him with a 'wtf' look. He apologized but I responded that 'No. That annoying fu--ing sound would be perfect for this song about 'hate' I had an idea for.' The sound itself makes me want to knock holes in the wall."
David Bowie's "Space Oddity" tells the story of an astronaut who cuts off communication and floats into space. The BBC used it extensively in their coverage of the 1969 moon landing - an odd choice considering the lyrics.
