The reggae-and-dub-based band Stick Figure was originally founded as a solo project by multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer Scott Woodruff.
The group's moniker is a take on Woodruff's high school nickname. He first officially adopted the Stick Figure title while a freshman in college when submitting instrumental tracks to the Sublime Archive website.
Stick Figure shot their first ever music video for this Set in Stone track. The clip was filmed DIY-style in the Santa Cruz Mountains and Southern Californian beaches.
Scott Woodruff commented to Billboard magazine: "My favorite line from the song is 'In this jungle, we are all just animals, we're criminals, but we're innocent always.' As with a lot of Stick Figure music, this song builds on the theme of freeing your mind and escaping to a magical place and the video captures that and the beauty of this world."
