Stormz- real name Michael Omari – began MCing at the age of 11 and even at that young age, he would go to his local youth club to engage in rap battles with older MCs. He gained attention after acquiring a large YouTube following for his freestyle raps over classic grime beats.
On October 22, 2014, Stormzy won Best Grime Act at the MOBO awards. Later that month he became the first unsigned rapper to appear on Later with Jools Holland performing the song "Not That Deep" from his Dreamers Disease EP.
This is Stormzy's final installment to his online "WickedSkengMan" freestyle series. The song debuted at #18 on the UK chart dated September 24, 2015 becoming the first ever freestyle to break into the UK Top 20.
"Friends In Low Places" by Garth Brooks was written by two Nashville songwriters after a meal in a local restaurant. One of them forgot his money, but said not to worry, "I have friends in low places. I know the cook."
"The Night Chicago Died" was written and recorded by the British group Paper Lace. They talk about Al Capone in the song, but got a lot of details wrong - understandable since they wrote it based on gangster movies.
