  • The founding members all played in different bands throughout Knoxville, Tennessee before coming together as The Used, which featured Pappas on vocals. They decided Davis was the better singer/songwriter, and Pappas took over bass with Davis the frontman. This is when they changed their name to Superdrag.
  • In 1999 after MTV and radio success, Pappas left the band to pursue Flesh Vehicle, and was replaced with Sam Powers (formally of Who Hit John, a Nashville power pop band).
  • In 2000, Fischer left the band because he grew tired of touring. He wasn't replaced until 2001, when former Faults singer/guitarist Mic Harrison came along.
  • The band went on a hiatus in 2003 after John Davis went on to pursue a solo career in Christian Rock music.
  • Davis has been in many groups including Punch Wagon, The Used and Flesh Vehicle. He has also been a session player for Alison Moorer and William Shatner. >>
