Songfacts®:

  • As one of the first females to become a star in the very male-dominated world of rock and roll, Suzi Quatro knows a thing or two about men. And those that like to exaggerate their masculinity do not impress her. She told us about this song concerning the macho man:

"I've had two or three that I've known in my life, and they haven't lasted more than a day, but it always left a lasting impression on me. The macho man that just is so caught up in being macho that they're afraid to show their feelings. And it's almost in a funny kind of way like they're a victim of their gender, which is a shame."
  • Since releasing No Control, Suzi has opened her concerts with this song. She said: "It's a no-brainer that this is an opening live song. You cannot help headbanging to it, it just grabs you."
