For Keeps

Album: Music For Men (2009)
  • This was originally intended to be sung by Gossip frontwoman Beth Ditto with Jarvis Cocker, who she met at the 2007 Shockwaves NME Awards. She told the NME June 27, 2009: I was like, 'I really think Jarvis should do this.' But he was in the studio at the same time as we were. Someday I'd like to re-record it as a duet."
  • Ditto explained: "It's a break-up song. I wanted it to be the 'Don't You Want Me' of this record."
