The Score are a Los Angeles-based pop duo comprising vocalist and guitarist Eddie Anthony and keyboardist Edan Dover. This song became a hit in the UK after soundtracking British supermarket chain Asda's 'Save Money. Live Better' advertising campaign.
The Score were still an unsigned band when the commercials first aired. However, the song's success earned them a recording contract with Republic Records.
"Pretty In Pink" by Psychedelic Furs was released in 1981. Five years later, it inspired a movie of the same name starring Molly Ringwald, Andrew McCarthy and Jon Cryer. The song was remixed for the re-release to have more Pop appeal.
Geffen Records made history on June 27, 1994 when Aerosmith's "Head First" became the first major label song made available for exclusive digital download. Download speeds at the time were so slow it took around 75 minutes to download the track.
