Songfacts®:

  • This electro-pop song was the debut single in Australia and the title track from The Veronicas sophomore album.
  • The Veronicas are Australian twin sisters Lisa and Jessica Origliasso. They wrote this track with L.A. songwriters Shelly Peiken ("What a Girl Wants," "Bitch") and Greg Wells ("Waking Up in Vegas"). Around the same time that he penned this, Wells co-wrote a song with the contradictory title of "I Do Not Hook Up," which became a hit for Kelly Clarkson.
  • Lisa said on an Australian late night radio show that the song is about being "stressed" and "wanting to get away from it all."
  • This song was The Veronicas first #1 single on the ARIA Charts.
