Songfacts®:

  • Diplo originally wrote this song in the mid-2010s with MØ, the Danish vocalist who sang on Major Lazer's "Lean On." He recalled to Apple Music that at the time "it was a totally different lo-fi downtempo song," and for a long time he wasn't sure want to do with the tune. Once Diplo made some alterations, including changing the tempo and production, it was ready to record.
  • The song finds Noah Cyrus singing about finding love while Diplo's energetic beat flows around her. As MØ co-wrote the tune, she was the "Heartless" hitmaker's first choice as vocalist, but the Danish singer was busy working on her own project. Diplo asked Noah Cyrus instead, and she came into the studio and sang it the next day.
  • Brandon Dermer directed the song's music video along with all the other clips from the Thomas Wesley album. He shot the visual at Far West Farms in Calabasas, California, where Cyrus rode horses growing up.
