  • T.I. penned this song in jail when he was serving time on a parole violation after a gun was found in his house (T.I. claims he was wrongly implicated). During a VH1 Storytellers episode he explained that the tune was inspired by "a rapper who used my dark moment as his bright moment. It didn't rub me the right way." He added that there were haters out there everywhere, and even if you worked at McDonald's there would be someone hating on you because maybe you had weekends off.
