Songfacts®:

  • Paloma Faith supplied vocals on this track, which was produced by Emeli Sandé's frequent collaborator Naughty Boy. "It's brilliant when you can take people out of their comfort zone," commented the producer to Digital Spy. "Especially Tinie because he's a rapper. It's like a real song, almost like a ballad. I can't wait for people to hear it."
  • The song is one of several on Demonstration that finds Tempah laying bare his relationship problems in detail. He told The Sun: "I take experiences from relationships and try my best to make an extra-vivid story from it. 'Lost Ones' is about having an experience who is in the limelight too. I was seeing someone who is famous too but it just couldn't work out, it added strain."
