Songfacts®:

  • Not to be confused with Toby Keith's "High Maintenance Woman," this lascivious scorcher is one of the more blues-inflected songs in Adkins canon. It finds him telling a girl that he can satisfy her every need in the bedroom.

On his 2015 Live Country! DVD, Adkins explained: "I was talking to a guy, and he said, 'I bet that girl is high maintenance.' I said, 'I don't have a problem with that - I'm your maintenance man, baby. I'll take care of you.'"
  • Adkins says this is one of the "nastiest" songs he's ever written. "It's a little embarrassing to sing in front of your mama," he adds.

  • Schonie from OregonI love watching Trace Adkins ding and dance to the song maintenance men, the look on his face, that sirky /sexy smile he gets once a while on his face, the way he is dancies to it, ok it's more about him moving his hips than dance.
Trace Adkins is a one of a kind country singer, the way he can sing other singers songs he kept the same beat same sound as possible to the person singing the song in the first place, he can sing those new or old christian songs sounds so calming with that voice of his. There won't be ever be anther singer like him with that style and that sound of his. God bless him for all things he has done and still doing for our troups too, God bless him. He is my favorite country singer of all time.
  • Lori Easler from Palmdale, CaMaintenance Man is a hot song and should be released as a single for radio airplay. I want to see this song on an album. The double album due for release August 2021 does not appear to include this song. Trace, you have to put it on an album and release it as a single!
