  • All I want is to see her, all I want is to reach her

Speaking with NPR, Rivers Cuomo said this song's lyrics are not about anyone in particular. He took lines from different sources and connected them in a way that suggested a story about a single relationship.
  • The verses use the same melody as the Green Album outtake "Burning Sun." Cuomo explained to HMV.com:

"For every 20 songs I write, only one will make the record. I've got this massive stockpile of songs that didn't make records. Quite often the songs just don't fit the theme, so every day when I wake up I'm not starting from a blank slate. Take 'Weekend Woman', that song actually dates all the way back to the Green Album."
