Album: The Great Detachment (2016)

  • Wintersleep's breakthrough song was "Weighty Ghost," where lead singer Paul Murphy uses an apparition as a symbol of a different side of his personality. He does something similar on "Spirit," where he confronts another demon. "It's about trying to connect and not get caught up in routine too much," he told Songfacts. "Trying to be connected and not detached."
  • The album title comes from a line in this song:

Holes in the fabric of our lives
    The great detachment unknown
