  • Oh Rockin'
    Oh Yeah

    Cruising down the motorway
Got my girl by my side
    We're both a little anxious
Ooo, we got love on our mind
    Waiting, anticipating
For the fireworks in the night
Well I swear we were doing eighty
When we saw those motel lights

And we were rockin' into the night
    Rockin' into the night
    Ooo hoo, rockin'
    Rockin' into the night
    Rockin' into the night

    Out on the back street
    Taking love where I can
    I found a sweet madonna
Ooo, with a bible in her hand
    She's waiting, anticipating
Well, for someone to save her soul
Well, I ain't no new messiah
But I'm close enough for rock and roll

And we were rockin' into the night
    Rockin' into the night
    Ooo hoo, rockin'
    Rockin' into the night
    Rockin' into the night

And I'm slowin' down, and she's pullin' in

    Waiting, anticipating
For the fireworks in the night
Well, I swear we were doing eighty
When we saw those motel lights

    We were Rockin',
    Rockin' into the night
    Ooo yeah
    Rockin', rockin' into the night
    Rockin', rockin' into the night
    Rockin', rockin' into the night

Rockin' into the night, rockin' into the night
Rockin' into the night, rockin' into the night
Rockin' into the night, rockin' into the night

  • Darin From Dallas from Dallas TxThis song brings back so many childhood memories (Mostly early jr high). I had no idea Survivor wrote it! I'm glad that Survivor eventually made it big too. This song just sounds like it belongs to 38 special though. My cover band is currently playing it too :-).
  • Dactar from Painsville, OhWow, I was just listening to a Survivor recording from last week and just realised that this was their song....
  • Pam from Taylor, Migreat song...poor video sound, but...one of my favorite groups of all time. Gotta love .38 Special
  • Sam from Lexington , KyYeah I agree, Mike from Hueyton, I was suprised to see only one comment. This is a great song, probabley 38 specials biggest hit except for "Hold on Loosely" of course. I'm actually kind of surprised that .38 special isnt a more popular southern rock band. They didn't have a bunch of number 1 hits or nothing, but had some pretty good songs that I think deserve a little more recognition, such as this one, "Wild Eyed Southern Boys", "Caught up in You", and several others.
  • Mike from Hueytown , AlGreat Song...can't believe there are no comments here
