  • Please understand
    This isn't just goodbye
This is I can't stand you
This is where the road crashed into the ocean,
It rises all around me and now we're barely breathing
A thousand faces we'll choose to ignore

    Curse my enemies forever
Let's slit our wrists and burn down something beautiful
    This desperation leaves me overjoyed
With fading lights that lead us past the lives that we destroy

    I listen to you cry
    A cry for less attention
But both my hands are tied
And I'm pushed into the deep end

    I listen to you talk
    But talk is cheap
And my mouth is filled with blood
    From trying not to speak

    So search for an excuse
    And someone to believe you
    In foreign dressing rooms
I'm empty with the need to

    Curse my enemies forever
Let's slit our wrists and burn down something beautiful
    This desperation leaves me overjoyed
With fading lights that lead us past the lives that we destroy
    Please understand

I lay rotting where I fall. I'm dead from bad intentions
Suffocated and enbalmed, and now all our dreams are chased in
You swore you wouldn't lose, then lost your brain
You make a sound that feels like pain

    So please understand
    This isn't just goodbye

  • Fionn from Newbridge, IrelandEhh...this is probably bein goin on 4 a long time, buh blink are bak together so the comment posted earlier...

"Lay rotting where I fall, I'm Dead from bad intentions. Suffocated and embalmed and now all our dreams have cashed in" This lyric is very telling that the band has reached it's end, and it's death. There will not be a Blink Reunion.

Well there was one so you might have well said there isnt going to be a blink reunion buh "there is"(box car racer song(tom and travis side project))
  • The Bert from Berlin, --I wonder why noone mentioned that this song was recorded in two different versions: First there was the demo from late 2005 they shipped with early +44 merchandise. It lacked the last verse and had former band meber Carol heller sing backing vocals.
Also it had a sightly different drum track.
The album version was released in 2006. Both versions can be found at

  • Brad Newton from Fishers, InI think that if your going to say that either +44 or AVA is better then the other then you need to realize that they are different genres now.
  • Fred from Tucson, AzAs far as this song goes, its f-ing amazing! Great song by +44! But as a blink fan, a +44 fan and as an AVA fan, angels and airwaves are better. Handsdown they are a better band. Tom has done what he set out to do and is an amazing artist! All of the members of blink are! But Tom has taken it to a new level. AVA's type of music is spiritual and easy on the ears. Every lyric means something! Props to +44 and I hope to hear more from them soon!
  • Kayley from Manchester, EnglandFirst of all +44 are so much better than angels and airwaves!!! Tom Delonge ruined Blink 182!! Hence the song No it isnt. That song is Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker's feelings towards the split of Blink 182,The song is amazing and i get shivers everytime i listen to it. If your a Blink fan and was gutted when they split you should be able to relate to this song!!!!
And Blink Probably will never reunite, id love it if they did though!!!!
  • Brady from Lewistown, PaOk, just to put this out there for all you people who think they know why Mark named this song, I got it STRAIGHT from Mark that he named it this bc when Blink was starting to have its troubles and He and Travis started to see Tom changing, he knew that this would be the end of sumthing BEAUTIFUL...and Blink was. Thats is where the line "lets slit our wrists and burn down sumthing beautiful" comes from. But the "slit our wrists" part is really the only time you will see Mark making fun of Tom...Tom when emo..and if u can't see that, then u are blind! Mark first wrote this song about Tom..and then he said he realized that it actually wasn't. It was about the Whole Blink182 break-up COMPLETELY TOGETHER! So he named it, "No it isn't" bc the other members of the band were asking if this was about Tom. Thnk You and i Hope to talk to Mark again soon, and I need to clear something else up with Travis about his injury during Blink's Tour.
  • Jess from Melb, AustraliaThis song is just so.. Beautiful..
I Cried when I first heard it.. and i still do..
My Favorite line is "Curse My Enemies Forever, Lets Slit Our Wrists and Burn Down Something Beautiful"
If Tom Wasn't Such an Ass Maybe Blink Would Still Be Around.. But Plus Is Just as Good :D
  • Jennifer from Beaver, PaIt is obvious that this song is about Tom. Tom wrote a song about Mark and Travis too. The song is called "Start The Machine". It is very yin to this song's yang. It explains everything. The lyrics "In forign dressing rooms, I'm empty with the need to" refers to the place were the "argument" occured that eventually spelled the demise for Blink. My favorite lyrics in the song are "both my hands are tied, and I'm pushed into the deep end". It clearly states the choice to end the band was not mutual. Another of my favorite lyrics to the song were added after the initial recording. "Lay rotting where I fall, I'm Dead from bad intentions. Suffocated and embalmed and now all our dreams have cashed in" This lyric is very telling that the band has reached it's end, and it's death. There will not be a Blink Reunion. I have a picture of Tom holding a copy of Plus 44's CD on it's release date. Who knows? We might hear from them again.
  • A.j. from Chicago, IlWait - I knew Blink-182 isn't together, but Jesus. Tom and Mark hate each other now?
  • Bob from Hippy, CoI read that Mark named this song "No it Isn't" because he hated people asking him if this song was about Tom, so when people asked him he could say "no it isn't". However, Mark did say this song is about Tom (in case you're too dumb to figure that one out!)
  • Lindsey from Flitwick, United StatesPerhaps The Part Where It Goes 'And My Mouth Is Filled With Blood From Trying Not To Speak' Refers To How There Has Been Many Rumours Regarding The Split Of Blink And The Fact That Mark Was Biting His Tongue And Not Wanting To Speak Out His Feelings Or What Really Happened So He Put All His Emotions Into This Song
  • Bob from Hippy, CoI never thought +44 could top Blink, but I think they have. I think this song shows that Blink will never be getting back together. I like the line "let's slit our wrists and burn down something beatuiful". It puts the break up of Blink perfectly, of how Tom destroyed in my mind the best band ever. This song is amazing. Also, +44 is soooooooooo much better than Angels & Airwaves.
  • Lindsey from Flitwick, United Stateswasn't this released on toms birthday?? december 13th ??
    rad song i love it
in fact their whole album is amazing
  • Michael from San Francisco, United StatesMy thoughts exactaly!!!
  • Michael from San Francisco, United StatesIt is so well done and so sad when i heard it i wanted to cry. On YouTube they slaped together a little video of Of No It Isn't. useing Blink182's music video's of Adam's song, and Stay Together for the Kids. I found this most sadening, the song plus the video means they wil probably never get back together.
  • Chris from Tampa Bay, Flwhat an amazing and beautiful song this is. The song is actually about tom. Lines like "i listen to you talk, but talk is cheap, and my mouth is filled with blood from trying not to speak" refer to tom's huge hype about AVA and how it will "change music forever" and hinting to the media that it was mark/travis's fault. "Curse my enemies forever, lets slit our wrists and burn down something beautiful" are talking about how great blink was and how tom destroyed that and ruined it. Once again great song, cant wait for more of Plus 44!
