  • Remember those walls I built
    Well, baby, they're tumbling down
And they didn't even put up a fight
They didn't even make a sound

I found a way to let you win
But I never really had a doubt
Standing in the light of your halo
    I got my angel now

    It's like I've been awakened
Every rule I had you breaking
It's the risk that I'm taking
I ain't never gonna shut you out

    Everywhere I'm looking now
    I'm surrounded by your embrace
Baby, I can see your halo
You know you're my saving grace

You're everything I need and more
It's written all over your face
Baby, I can feel your halo
    Pray it won't fade away

I can feel your halo (halo) halo
I can see your halo (halo) halo
I can feel your halo (halo) halo
I can see your halo (halo) halo

Hit me like a ray of sun
    Burning through my darkest night
You're the only one that I want
Think I'm addicted to your light

I swore I'd never fall again
But this don't even feel like falling
    Gravity can't begin
To pull me back to the ground again

    It's like I've been awakened
Every rule I had you breaking
    The risk that I'm taking
I'm never gonna shut you out

    Everywhere I'm looking now
    I'm surrounded by your embrace
Baby, I can see your halo
You know you're my saving grace

You're everything I need and more
It's written all over your face
Baby, I can feel your halo
    Pray it won't fade away

I can feel your halo (halo) halo
I can see your halo (halo) halo
I can feel your halo (halo) halo
I can see your halo (halo) halo

    Halo, halo
    Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh

    Everywhere I'm looking now
    I'm surrounded by your embrace
Baby, I can see your halo
    Pray it won't fade away

I can feel your halo (halo) halo
I can see your halo (halo) halo
I can feel your halo (halo) halo
I can see your halo (halo) halo

I can feel your halo (halo) halo
I can see your halo (halo) halo
I can feel your halo (halo) halo

  • Wendy Bae from Abuja, nigeriaIt's a lovely song
  • Alana from Abingdon, MdActually it wasn't written for Lewis. The writter of the song said: "There was this huge scandal that originally 'Halo' was meant to go to Leona. That was never the case, I'm putting that rumour to bed right now. That song was written for Beyoncé. What happened was that Beyoncé waited long enough to record that song that I had no communication with her and didn't know if she was going to do it or not. I thought this would be a brilliant first single for Leona, which it would have. When you have a song as special as 'Halo', you don't want anyone else to sit on it. So sometimes you have to pull the whole, 'Well, I'm going to get someone else on it', to prove a point. What I did was foolishly say to Leona's camp, 'I have it on hold for another A-list artist and I'm pretty sure they'll take it, but if they don't, I just want to know if you like it enough to consider it. I sent it to them and they flipped on it. They loved it and instantly said they wanted to do it. I was like, 'Wait, wait, wait, no, it's not free yet!" It's believed that Cowell leaked the story of the song being for Lewis then given to Knowles. There was evensome controversy about a Kelly Clarkson song which has the same composition as Halo (Already Gone), that she didn't want the album released with said track on it feelin people would accuse her of ripping of Beyonce but the label refused to stop it.
  • Chryssie from Canberra, AustraliaI love the mash up of this song and Walking On Sunshine by Katrina & the Waves on Glee. The girls do such a good job. I keep getting the song stuck in my head over and over.
  • Abdullaah from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysiai think leona lewis would give better credit to this song rather than beyonce
  • Sahsa from Florida, Flthis is ULTIMATELY my fave song...
every time i hear i it i get chills
  • Jeana from Sterling Heights, Mithis song is prob her best...it's such am pretty song
  • D'ellis from Pelahatchie, Ms, Msi think that this song is portraying the way that beyonce feels about her man(whom i wish were me). but she knows how she feels so she should tell him that.
  • Cheetah from Syracuse, NyThis song fits Beyoncé like a glove! Wonderful range and wonderful every other way! She sings from her heart, taht's so obvious!
  • Ramon from Cleveland, OhBeyonce is a great competitive singer.
Her upper register on this song matches the fervor that Leona Lewis has on "Bleeding Love".
This kind of artistic approach keeps her very interesting.
  • Stephanie from Wakefield, MaThis a great song!
