  • So you lost your trust
    And you never should have
    And you never should have
    But don't break your back
    If you ever see this
    But don't answer that

    In a bulletproof vest
    With the windows all closed
    I'll be doing my best
    And I'll see you soon
    In a telescope lens
And when all you want is friends
    I'll see you soon

    So they came for you
They came snapping at your heels
They come snapping at your heels
    But don't break your back
    If you ever hear this
    But don't answer that

    In a bulletproof vest
    With the windows all closed
    I'll be doing my best
    And I'll see you soon
    In a telescope lens
And when all you want is friends
    I'll see you soon
    Oh ooh

I know, you lost your trust
I know, you lost your trust
    No, don't lose your trust
I know, you lost your trust Writer/s: Christopher Anthony John Martin, Guy Rupert Berryman, Jonathan Mark Buckland, William Champion

  • AnonymousYou know you don't have to lose ur trust
  • Liz from Sydney, AustraliaI couldn't actually focus enough during this song to think about the songs actual meaning. I fell in love with the melody and the harmonies straight away. Just something about the way he sings, and his voice that works so well with his style of picking. His voice is just so incredible, i can't describe it, but its just strong and completely open. Its like every time he sings, he's telling you his entire life story. Its so beautiful. Its amazing how he can share so much so easily. This song is amazing, straight from the heart.
  • Clay Parker from Houston, TxThis is such a great little song. It reminds me of how insecure I can be sometimes. It reminds me of a guy and a girl; he's there and waiting until she's ready. Another great tune to check out is "Careful Where You Stand"
  • Al from London, United KingdomI thought this song might be about Lady Diana, mainly the bullet proof reference and talk of the paparazzi hounding her etc. Just throwing it out there.
  • Pravin from Sydney, AustraliaThis was released on to the public, on an album prior to Parachutes called The Blue Room (EP) in 1999. Also on the album, High Speed, and Such a Rush. This song became widely known after it was played in Coldplay's LIVE 2003 Tour but was only played in 5 different concert venues accross the tour. One of which is Sydney.
  • Dave from Canberra, AustraliaAm I correct in saying that this song isnt on any of thier albums?
  • Jessie Ann from Purchase, NyNot about Gwyneth. She came later. Moses is written about her though. I always loved this song.
  • Pinkfloyd from Abbey Road, United Statescoldplay rules. so does this song. i only have the live version but i think it sounds better
  • Renee from Vancouver, Canadaim not sure when it was writtin, but it sounds like it could be about Gwyneth. She is such a celebrity that it takes alot to get to her (bulletproof vest, telescope lens). And, "so they came for you, come snapping at your heels" sounds like photographers. I think that he trying to assure her that he likes her and that he'll see her soon
  • Laura from Spencerport, NyBEAUTIFUL AS ALWAYS, COLDPLAY! This is one of my favorites of theirs...It really gets to me all the time, too.

    ~Laura~
  • T.j from Atlanta, GaSuch a beautiful song. This song can be viewed differently than what is posted already.
