  • You're sailing softly through the sun
In a broken stone age dawn
    You fly so high

    I get a strange magic
    Oh, what a strange magic
    Oh, it's a strange magic
    Got a strange magic
    Got a strange magic

You're walking meadows in my mind
    Making waves across my time
    Oh no, oh no

    I get a strange magic
    Oh, what a strange magic
    Oh, it's a strange magic
    Got a strange magic
    Got a strange magic

Oh, I'm never gonna be the same again
Now I've seen the way it's got to end
    Sweet dream, sweet dream

    Strange magic
    Oh, what a strange magic
    Oh, it's a strange magic
    Got a strange magic
    Got a strange magic

    It's magic, it's magic, it's magic
    Strange magic
    Oh, what a strange magic
    Oh, it's a strange magic
    Got a strange magic
    Strange magic
    Oh, it's a strange magic
    Oh, it's a strange magic

    Got a strange magic
    Strange magic
    Oh, what a strange magic
    Oh, it's a strange magic

    Got a strange magic
    Strange magic
You know I got a strange magic
Yeah I got a strange magic

  • Judy V from Puyallup WaI grew up in a small town in New Mexico called Alamogordo there I met my first Love AKA Bubbles. We had just started to communicate with each other. His sister and my brother were married so we share 4 nephews. I sent him this song on Tuesday 7/27/21 he commented Love it great song. Then on Wednesday evening my nephew called me to say he committed suicide. This song will forever be our song. I always have and will forever love you Bubbles. May he rest in peace..
  • Pete from Nor CalLove this song. Simple, hauntingly love sick
  • Bonney from OttawaCamille from Toronto; I too, was growing up in TO at that time; this song still haunts me...and I think I am still growing up, too! We have hooked up our stereo lately and so I've been playing this song over and over, just like 1976!
  • Matt from CarlsbadLos Angeles' Pan-Pacific Auditorium has no connection with Googie Arcitecture - non at all. Built in 1935, it was pure Art Deco. Art Deco is the joining of art and industry and Googie is architecture meets the space age as envisioned starting the early to mid 1950s.
  • Lacey from VaCamille in Toronto!! I agree!!! Strange Magic can transform one!! This song makes me smile and literally tingle with happiness. It almost makes me dizzy at times and I have to listen to it loud on Harman Kardon speakers in my car or with ear buds on my laptop. There are only a handful of songs that have ever had that perfect blend that just hearing them is an incredible experience... when the beat before they sing 'strange magic' hits, I know something amazing is coming... Ironically the chorus makes my mind swirl and while make a swirling sound making one envision the movement!! It's a brilliantly POWERFUL song and I LOVE IT!!!

  • Esskayess from Dallas, TxThanks for sharing the "Googie" link. I've always enjoyed that genre of architecture.
  • Camille from Toronto, OhWhat!?! Only one comment posted here?! This is SUCH a fabulous, hauntingly beautiful song; always takes me to the time in my life I was transitioning from teen-age-dom to adult-hood. Those lyrics "I'm never gonna BE the same again......" just explains how life's experiences as we continue to grow move us forward. It's just so mystical; perfect.
  • Bratt Pid from Algiers, Algeriathis song was also used in the excellent "virgin suicide" starring the delightful kirstin dunst in a very appropriate scene ,along with some Ann and Nancy Wilson classics (magic man ,crazy on you)
