Two Grey Rooms

  • Tomorrow is Sunday
Now there's only one day left to go
    'Til you walk by
    Below my window
    The weekends drive me mad
    Holidays are oh too sad
    'Cause you don't go
    Below my window

    No one knows I'm here
    One day I just disappeared
And I took these two grey rooms up here
    With a view
    When you walk by
    Below my window

    You look so youthful
    Time has been untruthful
    Heaven knows I loved you
    Thirty years ago
    Hot days your shirt's undone
    Rainy days you run
Oh and then you fade so fast
    Below my window

    No one knows I'm here
    One day I just disappeared
And I took these two grey rooms up here
    With a view
    Only when you walk by
    Below my window
    When you walk by

    Below my window
    Below my window
    Hey, hey
    Below my window
    Below my window

  • Dj from PortugalThis song made me teary eyed every time I heard it. My younger brother was Gay and died from HIV and I KNEW it was about lost love.
  • Dawn from Little Rock, ArI knew that this song was about a Gay relationship. Twenty years ago, I was in a convent and found myself hopelessly and forbiddenly in love with my best friend, who incidentally, was Joni Mitchell look alike. After living together for a year, I became a Novice across meaning I could go nowhere. I had a lonely third floor cell with two windows that over-looked a path that she walked. That song really spoke to me but made me ache with longing. She was gorgeous!
