  • Closed off from love, I didn't need the pain
Once or twice was enough and it was all in vain
Time starts to pass, before you know it, you're frozen, ooh
But something happened for the very first time with you
My heart melts into the ground, found something true
And everyone's looking 'round, thinking I'm going crazy, oh

But I don't care what they say
    I'm in love with you
They try to pull me away, but they don't know the truth
My heart's crippled by the vein that I keep on closing
You cut me open and I

Keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding, I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love
    You cut me open
    Oh yeah

Trying hard not to hear, but they talk so loud
Their piercing sounds fill my ears, try to fill me with doubt
Yet I know that their goal is to keep me from falling, hey, oh
But nothing's greater than the rush that comes with your embrace
And in this world of loneliness, I see your face
Yet everyone around me thinks that I'm going crazy
    Maybe, maybe

But I don't care what they say
    I'm in love with you
They try to pull me away, but they don't know the truth
My heart's crippled by the vein that I keep on closing
You cut me open and I

Keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding, I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love
You cut me open, mm, mm

And it's draining all of me
Though they find it hard to believe
I'll be wearing these scars for everyone to see

I don't care what they say
    I'm in love with you
They try to pull me away, but they don't know the truth
My heart's crippled by the vein that I keep on closing
Oh, you cut me open and I

Keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding, I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love
Oh, you cut me open and I

Keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding, I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding, keep, keep bleeding love
    I keep
Oh, you cut me open and I

  • Julienne D Hensley from Gate CityGood song. Don't like it? Simple. Listen to something else.
  • Felipe from Dallas, Txyeet this song is such a bomb
  • Pedro from Hollywood, Flthis song is definitely about Opium / heroin... if you know about how you have to slice the Poppy open to get the extract, and just pay attention to the lyrics..... its so obvious <3
  • Staley from Dallas, TxI LOATHE this song. The singer's voice and the song itself are so oppressive, like someone's attacking you with it instead of entertaining you. She also has a sloppy style--it took me a while before I could figure out that "cummyuppen" was "cut me open."
  • Camille from Toronto, OhThere's something about the cadence and delivery of the words in this song that is so perfectly rhythmic; such an incredible singing voice and yet it's almost as tho Leona Lewis is speaking the words to her lover. This song has the perfect blend of everything.
  • Kayla from El Paso, Txi just love this song
"I don't care what they say
    I'm in love with you
They try to pull me away
But they don't know the truth
My heart's crippled by the vein
    That I keep on closing
You cut me open and I....

    Keep bleeding
    Keep, keep bleeding love"
ever time i hear that i say that, that part is so true this song really moves me
  • Fariha from Dhaka, --Very good song...and Lewis has an amazing voice.
  • Autumn from Philadelphia, PaI think that this song can easily be about letting god, or something 'greater' into your life. I shut the idea out for so long, then, my faith resurfaced, right before this song came out. . . I nearly cryed hearing her angelic voice singing this song. "they tried to pull me away" they is everything materialistic in the world, and the things that bring you down, make you lose your faith.

    Closed off from love
    I didn't need the pain
    Once or twice was enough
And it was all in vain

[When you fall in love, and have your heart broken, it is the most painful thing to experience because there is an overwhelming feeling of being alone]

    Time starts to pass
Before you know it you're frozen

[This is the point where you feel completely lost, hopeless, you’ve given up- let yourself fall into the water and have no arms to swim with, you are drowning]

    But something happened
For the very first time with you
My heart melts into the ground
    Found something true

[Love is a fleeting emotion, without faith, it is hard to move on past the scary unsure moments. Finding your faith, your something true, you can breathe. . . you stop drowning. . .]

    And everyone's looking round
    Thinking i'm going crazy

[When you no longer are tormented by the uncertainty of life, when your faith brings you so much joy, you can not hide it, to those who do not have that faith- you seem crazy.]

But I don't care what they say
    I'm in love with you
They try to pull me away
But they don't know the truth

[Many people have yet to be able to have a blind faith, and do not understand how it can make someone so happy. How it can make someone so loving. But you don’t let that affect how you feel.]

My heart's crippled by the vein
    That I keep on closing
You cut me open and I

    Keep bleeding
    Keep, keep bleeding love
    I keep bleeding
    I keep, keep bleeding love
    Keep bleeding
    Keep, keep bleeding love
    You cut me open

    Trying hard not to hear
    But they talk so loud
Their piercing sounds fill my ears
Try to fill me with doubt
Yet I know that the goal
Is to keep me from falling

    But nothing's greater
Than the rush that comes with your embrace
And in this world of loneliness
    I see your face
    Yet everyone around me
Thinks that I'm going crazy, maybe, baby

But I don't care what they say

    I'm in love with you
They try to pull me away
But they don't know the truth
My heart's crippled by the vein
    That I keep on closing
You cut me open and I....

    Keep bleeding
    Keep, keep bleeding love
    I keep bleeding
    I keep, keep bleeding love
    Keep bleeding
    Keep, keep bleeding love
    You cut me open

And it's draining all of me
Oh they find it hard to believe
    I'll be wearing these scars
    For everyone to see

I don't care what they say
    I'm in love with you
They try to pull me away
But they don't know the truth
My heart's crippled by the vein
    That I keep on closing
You cut me open and I....

    Keep bleeding
    Keep, keep bleeding love
    I keep bleeding
    I keep, keep bleeding love
    Keep bleeding
    Keep, keep bleeding love
You cut me open and I....
  • Louise from London, United Kingdomamazing song and video, when the water starts pouring out in the video, it signifies blood and love, they obviously didnt want to use something that is or looks like blood as it wouldnt really suit the genre of the song. Very beautiful song which goes deep into the meaning of love and how it makes some people feel. x
  • Evie from Sweet Valley, PaI Love this Song!!!!
  • George from Waynesburg, Kyis it me or does this song like a song from the 80's
I am not saying it is a song from the 80's but has the feel in the words and rhythm
  • Valerie from None Of Ur Buisness, Bci still love this song, just so u know...
  • Brian from Warrington, PaThis song tore me apart. It put into words what I could not. I am very much in love with my ex-wife and my family and friends - "try to pull me away. But they don't know the truth." - It is true that even though I had done my fair share of dating and even been married once before, I never experienced what I did with CLK and no one can begin to understand it. It is stated better in the song - "But something happened for the very first time, with you my heart melts into the ground found something true and everyone's looking round thinking I'm going crazy"
  • Lil from Houston, Txi love this part:

But I don't care what they say
    I'm in love with you
They try to pull me away
But they don't know the truth
  • Valerie from None Of Ur Buisness, Bci love this song and i will love it 4ever
  • Nellie from Adams, Mei love this song more than anything
  • Michaela from Brooklyn, NyHot song and a talented voice.I wonder if the USA will rate this song.
  • Edward Pearce from Ashford, Kent, EnglandBleeding Love's success in its debut week in the UK charts on w/e 28th October 2007, helped boost British online music downloads to a record 1.7 million. It broke the previous record set a few weeks of 1.5 million when Sugababes' About You Now topped the singles chart.
