  • Just shoot for the stars if it feels right
And aim for my heart if you feel like it
Take me away and make it okay
    I swear I'll behave

You wanted control so we waited
I put on a show now we're naked
You say I'm a kid my ego is big
I don't give a shit and it goes like this

Take me by the tongue and I'll know you
Kiss me 'til you're drunk and I'll show you all the moves like Jagger
I've got the moves like Jagger
I've got the moves like Jagger

I don't need to try to control you
Look into my eyes and I'll own you with them moves like Jagger
I've got the moves like Jagger
I've got the moves like Jagger

Baby it's hard when you feel like
    You're broken and scarred
Nothing feels right, but when you're with me
I make you believe that I've got the key

Oh, so get in the car we can ride it
Wherever you want get inside it
And you want to steer, but I'm shifting gear
I'll take it from here oh yeah yeah and it goes like this

Take me by the tongue and I'll know you
Kiss me 'til you're drunk and I'll show you all the moves like Jagger
I've got the moves like Jagger
I've got the moves like Jagger

I don't need to try to control you
Look into my eyes and I'll own you with them moves like Jagger
I've got the moves like Jagger
I've got the moves like Jagger

You want to know how to make me smile
Take control, own me just for the night
But if I share my secret you're gonna have to keep it
    Nobody else can see this

So watch and learn I won't show you twice
Head to toe, ooh baby, rub me right
But if I share my secret you're gonna have to keep it
    Nobody else can see this

    And it goes like this

Take me by the tongue and I'll know you
Kiss me 'til you're drunk and I'll show you all the moves like Jagger
I've got the moves like Jagger
I've got the moves like Jagger

I don't need to try to control you
Look into my eyes and I'll own you with them moves like Jagger
I've got the moves like Jagger

  • Mitchell from Liverpool, UkThis song holds a record as the biggest selling UK single not to top the charts, stalling at #2. It had previously been the second biggest selling non-chart topper, behind Wham!’s “Last Christmas”. However, when that 1984 festive staple finally reached the coveted top spot on New Year’s Day 2021, “Moves Like Jagger” became the new record holder.
  • Ian from Buffalo Please note that I am definitely not a fan of Adolf Hitler; I just thought this was interesting. Not advocating that nonsense.
  • Ian from Buffalo Don't know if Adam Levine is a David Bowie fan or not, but if so this could be interesting: In a 1974 Playboy interview, Bowie stated "Adolf Hitler was one of the first rock stars. Look at some of the films and see how he moved; I think he was quite as good as Jagger."

Probably has nothing to do with the song, but I read that line and immediately this song jumped into my head.
  • Eric from Newell, SdThis is a very groovy and dance-alicious song! :P I wonder if someone would have the idea to cover this as "Moves Like Jackson"? :P As in MJ>
  • Megan from Stevenson, AlWords just can't describe how much I love this song! It's crazy! Just makes me want to dance...and I'm SOOO not a dancer! lol I truely DO NOT like Christina Aguilera, but somehow it works great...idk. LOVE IT!!!
