  • Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah

Imagine I'm in love with you
    It's easy 'cause I know
I've imagined I'm in love with you
    Many, many, many times before

It's not like me to pretend
But I'll get you, I'll get you in the end
Yes I will, I'll get you in the end
    Oh yeah, oh yeah

I think about you night and day
I need you and it's true
When I think about you I can say
I'm never, never, never, never blue

So I'm telling you my friend
That I'll get you, I'll get you in the end
Yes I will, I'll get you in the end
    Oh yeah, oh yeah

Well, there's gonna be a time
When I'm gonna change your mind
So you might as well resign yourself to me, oh yeah

Imagine I'm in love with you
    It's easy 'cause I know
I've imagined I'm in love with you
    Many, many, many times before

It's not like me to pretend
But I'll get you, I'll get you in the end
Yes I will, I'll get you in the end

Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, whoa yeah Writer/s: JOHN LENNON, PAUL MCCARTNEY

  • Luna Loud from Royal Woods, MichiganIDK, man to me it sounds like they ARE harmonizing...
  • Jennifur Sun from RamonaSadly you can no longer get the LP version which is the best one.
  • Rick from Brick, NjGreat song, but never understood how the harmonica got on the track. Lennon was the only one who used a harmonica and he's singing. We know the harmonica part used in Love Me Do forced the bridge to be sung by Paul. But, on this song they're both singing. This was recorded in early '63 when they recorded all parts live. George Martin is the answer I can think of.

  • George from Belleville, NjThis is a very catchy little number in the early part of their career.Nice melody, straight forward message in the lyrics.Cool.
  • Catresse from Lawrenceville, GaYeah there is a version to 'I'll Be On My Way' where John sounds Nasally too (Guy).

i cannot stop drumming with my hands when i listen to this! or any song! haha
  • Guy from Woodinville, WaOne of my favorite early Beatles songs. Always sounds a bit nasally to me, like John has a cold. Thanks for the not-harmonizing insight.
  • John from Grand Island, NyLennon's first line is "Imagine, I'm in love with you". This was only 8 years ahead of his most famous song "Imagine". When you look at the two songs seperated by only 8 years, its astonishing to see his growth as a writer....
  • Daevid from Glendale, CaI love the poetic line in the bridge: "well there's gonna be a time, when i'm gonna change your mind, so you might as well RESIGN yourself to me"
the sheer simplistic genius of Lennon/McCartney is timeless.
  • Steve from Fenton, MoAnother nice melody on an early Beatles tune.
