  • Former 4 Non Blondes member Linda Perry, who has penned many hit singles, including Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful," was the writer and producer of this sweeping ballad. 4 Non Blondes became the first lesbian Rock band to have a mainstream hit when "What's Up" scored in 1992. By 2009, an artist's sexual preference was far less of an issue, and Lambert came out as gay shortly after finishing second in the American Idol competition.
  • Lambert told Entertainment Weekly: "It's a bit dark, with all the vocals in falsetto. It feels like you're floating in space."
