This dance anthem is by Italian DJ Alex Gaudino, whose previous hits include "Destination Calabria," which reached the Top Ten of the singles charts all over Europe and launched his career as an international DJ.
"I'm In Love" originally featured just the title line as a male vocal. Bronx-born vocalist Maxine Ashley was later enlisted to add a topline for the international market. This marked the recording debut of the teenage singer.
Gaudino appears in the song's music video as the man in the leather jacket driving the car.
Originally a chart-topper for Steve Lawrence in 1962 chart-topper, "Go Away Little Girl," became the first song of the rock era to be taken to #1 by two different artists when Donny Osmond's cover version also reached the summit in 1971.
