This piece of playful electro-pop is the debut single of seventeen-year-old British singer Alex Roots.
Alex Roots co-wrote this with British record producer and songwriter Ryan Laubscher, who has also worked with Pixie Lott.
Alex said of this song to Female First: "It's Pop music with a bit of a punky '80s edge. And you can just expect a fun flirty summer tune out of it really." She added on her MySpace site that it's "hugely influenced by Queen."
"It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)" was inspired by a dream where Michael Stipe conjured up images of people with the initials L.B.: Lester Bangs, Leonid Breshnev, Lenny Bruce and Leonard Bernstein.
