  "I try to take control in a way," Warren told Billboard. "For me, something really beautiful is taking something so sad and dark, and what most would view as something that ruined their life, and turn it into something that can help people."

"I write music that helps people get through the loss of their parents, a breakup, and falling in love," he said. "I feel like the type of music I make encapsulates that feeling, instead of running away from it."
• Warren became the first musician to perform on Love Is Blind when he sang "Ordinary" on the Netflix reality dating series during its season 8 reunion episode. The exposure boosted streams of the song, which ended up going to #1 on the Hot 100.
• Warren's advice to aspiring songwriters is to stop letting their fear of embarrassment hold them back. "Throw out words, say s--t, write it down, because it's going to lead you into what you essentially want to say, but you're not going to know how to say it unless you just start blurting things out," he told Off The Record.
