  • "Acid Rain" was premiered online on January 14, 2013 featuring guest verses rapped by Alexis Jordan's Roc Nation labelmate J Cole. However, when the final version was released as a single a month later, it excluded Cole's two verses.
  • The song was written by Australian singer-songwriter Sia and produced by the Norwegian production duo Stargate. The threesome also collaborated on Rihanna's hit single "Diamonds."
