Songfacts®:

  • This scorching braggadocios track finds A$AP Ferg flexing about his jewelry collection, wealth, and sexual allure. Nicki Minaj raps the second verse during which she brags about her fashion sense.
  • The two New York MCs previously worked together on the official remix of Ferg's 2017 single "Plain Jane" and the duo reunited on "Runnin" for Creed II's soundtrack in 2018. Minaj references the "Plain Jane" collaboration on her "Move Ya Hips" verse: "I got the panda mink on and it's growlin' now. Already bodied 'Plain Jane' and we mobbin' now."
  • The track features a straightforward hook by Ferg's frequent collaborator, Atlanta rapper and singer MadeinTYO. They previously worked together on "One Night Savage," "Square Bitch," "WAM" and "Ned Flanders."
  • Frankie P supplied the trap beat. His previous productions for the ASAP Mob member include "Trap and a Dream" and "Rubber Band Man."
  • The clip takes the form of an exercise infomercial in which a group of lycra-clad ladies work out to the track while the phrase "GET HIPS" is displayed on screen. None of the artists feature in the video.
  • Issac Rentz (5 Seconds of Summer, blink-182) created a second, far darker video for the song. The clip features none of the artists; instead it shows a man who buys a female sexbot for his home. Things appear to be going well until there's a system error and the sex doll turns into a killer robot.
