  • This features M.I.A., who reached out to Baauer in an email shortly after "Harlem Shake" exploded. During a visit to London, the producer and the rapper found time to collaborate. "The energy is different being in the same room. I showed her a bunch of tracks, and we worked it out," Baauer told Rolling Stone, with "Temple" the result.
  • The song also features Korean pop star G-Dragon. This was his first collaborative track with a western artist since he featured on Skrillex's 2014 tune "Dirty Vibe " with Diplo and CL of 2NE1.
  • The song was first heard during New York Fashion Week, where it was played during Alexander Wang's runway show on February 13, 2016.
