Songfacts®:

  • "Mia" (Mine in English) is a romantic song that finds Bad Bunny and Drake both smitten with the same girl. She has grabbed every guy's attention, but they both tell her she belongs to them. Drake opens the track with a sung Spanish verse, before Bad Bunny joins him on the chorus.

    Tell them you're mine, mine
    You know you're mine, mine
    You've said it yourself
    When we were doing it
    Tell them you're mine, mine

Bad Bunny takes over most of the rest of the song with a couple of lovestruck verses.
  • The song features both Drake and Bad Bunny singing and rapping entirely in Spanish. Though it's natural to hear the Puerto Rican rapper dropping rhymes in his native tongue, it's more of a surprise to hear the Toronto MC speaking a different language. However, Drake's has recorded in Spanish before. Back in 2014, he collaborated with Bachita singer Romeo Santos on "Odio."
  • The song debuted at #5 on the Hot 100. It was Drake's 12th Top 10 entry in 2018, which meant he broke the Beatles' record for most Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 hits in a year; the Fab Four logged 11 Top 10 hits back in 1964.
  • Bad Bunny performed a bit of this song at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2020 when he appeared as a special guest during Shakira's set.
