Songfacts®:

  • This gothic track was produced by David Kosten (Marina and the Diamonds, Everything Everything) and features backing vocals and guitar by Caroline Weeks. Natasha Khan (aka Bat For Lashes) recalled the recording of the song to Uncut: "One night, David set up seven mics in a line across this huge lawn: in Bat's Mouth, you can hear girls singing and laughing – it was me and Caroline Weeks running up and down, jumping around with bells and being silly. We put it under the rapturous ending of the song to give it a giddy sound."
